About my novel 'Revenant Stars'

 

                                                       The truth behind the Little Mermaid

                   The inspiration behind my novel 'Revenant Stars' was Fromsoft's 2023 video-game master- piece, Armored Core 6: The Fires of Rubicon.  The final edited version I have today,  is the fourth draft, after two years of trying to write this. 

                   I was trying to write a modern day ever green classic, a la 'The Great Gatsby', but an Asian  version, set against a 21st century backdrop of a prevalence of K-pop culture and the rise of China

                        

                    And on a deeper level, I was writing 'Revenant Stars' as carthasis for my own mental health issues (vocies in my head, etc) and personal rejection. 

                    I am an under-writer who writes punchy short sentences that hit the jugular, and I weave in many issues of the day into my side plots and side characters. 

                   'Revenant Stars' is basically written in Brandon Sanderson's crisp, clean style of writing,  whilst incorporating Jane Austen character analysis for certain important characters. (character interioirty and inner dialogue) 

                    I hope you enjoy reading "Revenant Stars' as much as I enjoyed writing it, in between  documentation and system analysis detection (my day job is a cyber-security professional)
